Long before our Now
God spoke His mind audibly
Burning bush, my dream
Eyes search night, pray “pillar’d fire”
Day sky’s hope, His sheer-gleam cloud
Gifted afternoon
White fluffs write in pillar form…
Dusk, flame-colored mass
Thrills me passing overhead
God answers prayers, child don’t doubt
Light reveals His love
‘Mid pages…treasured Word, Truth–
Listen…Voice resounds

Angels, rarely seen
Make daily whispering flights
Grounded hearts lift, leap
Feeling Heaven’s balm on breeze
Hushed by vision, softest song
Do they fly in shifts
I wonder, looking upward
Wishing to see smiles
Loved ones’ joy, hear their laughter
As a white wing feather falls

Cherry blossoms hold their blush
Mean March…fickle friend
You’d steal brief cherry blossoms
Leave petals ‘mid pewter rain
Spew wind, chill showers
Dark hovering jealousy…
But exquisite gaze
Of pale delicate blossoms
Offers grace-light to dusk sky
